Cooking Instructions

  • Cook the bacon in a medium cooking pot or Dutch oven over medium heat until crispy, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and drain.
  • Add the chopped onion to the pot with the bacon drippings and sauté for 3–4 minutes until translucent.
  • Stir in the diced potatoes, cooking for 3–4 minutes to slightly soften them.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the potatoes and mix for 1–2 minutes to coat them evenly.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth while stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 10–12 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
