Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • Start by filling your steamer with water and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the grated ginger, soy sauce, water, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  • Take your chosen fish fillets and place them on the heatproof plate. Pour the prepared ginger-soy mixture generously over the fish.
  • Once the water in the steamer is simmering, carefully place the plate with the fish inside the steamer. Cover it with a lid.
  • After steaming for about 8-10 minutes, carefully lift the plate from the steamer and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Freeze wrapped tightly in plastic for up to 2 months.
