  • Remove the Sausage: Carefully remove the browned sausage and set it aside. Leave the rendered fat in the skillet and increase temperature to medium-high with another tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Sauté the Vegetables: Add sliced bell peppers and chopped onion to the skillet. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp and vibrant.
  • Add Garlic: Stir in minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  • Combine Sausage and Heat Through: Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, mix well, and heat through for about 1 minute.
