Preparation Steps

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into patties about three-quarters of an inch thick.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Sear the patties for about four minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the patties and in the same skillet, whisk in flour to create a paste.
  • Slowly pour in the beef broth, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens.
  • Return the patties to the skillet, allowing them to simmer in the gravy for about five minutes.
  • Transfer the Salisbury Steaks to plates, drizzle with gravy, and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes
