Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Chicken Lo Mein

  • Prepare the ingredients by chopping the bell pepper, slicing the carrots, thinly slicing the green onions, and mincing the garlic. Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of cooking oil, and sauté the chicken for 6–8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken, and stir-fry the vegetables in the same pan for 3–4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and mix in the drained lo mein noodles, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and any optional spices. Toss together over medium heat for 2–3 minutes.
  • Serve the Chicken Lo Mein hot, drizzling additional soy sauce on top if desired.

Notes

For the best texture, use fresh lo mein noodles. Adjust soy sauce to taste and experiment with vegetables like broccoli or snap peas.
