Ingredients
  

Marinade

  • ¼ cup soy sauce consider coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste

For the Salmon

  • 4 4oz fillets salmon skin on or off
  • 1 large or 2 small cedar planks soaked in water for 30 minutes

For Garnishing (Optional)

  • 2 slices lemon
  • 1 sprig fresh dill

Preparation Steps

  • Soak the cedar planks in water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the marinade by whisking together soy sauce, rice vinegar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lime juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, fish sauce, honey, and salt.
  • Marinate the salmon fillets in a zip-top bag with the prepared marinade for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat (375°F to 425°F).
  • Remove the cedar planks from water, pat dry, and place salmon skin-side down on planks.
  • Grill the salmon on the cedar planks for 10-15 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving with lemon slices and dill.

Notes

For best results, make sure to soak the cedar planks and marinate the salmon adequately. Serve with grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
