Ingredients
  

For the Stir Fry

  • 1 medium head green cabbage sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for stir-frying
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger freshly minced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper thinly sliced
  • 1 medium carrot julienned

For the Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

For the Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Prepare the vegetables by slicing the green cabbage, red bell pepper, and green onions. Julienning the carrot adds crunch.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.

Cooking

  • Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil. Allow the oil to heat up until it shimmers.
  • Add minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Introduce sliced red bell pepper and julienned carrot into the wok, stir-frying for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add sliced cabbage to the wok, tossing everything together and stir-frying for 5-7 minutes until tender but still crunchy.
  • Pour the pre-mixed sauce over the sautéed vegetables and toss to coat evenly. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For best results, prepare all vegetables in advance. Adjust cooking times for additional proteins as desired.
