  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 whole avocado ripe
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Spice Mix

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Wrap

  • 4 whole tortilla wraps
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 whole tomato diced

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cool water, then pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  • Add minced garlic, ground cumin, chili powder, and smoked paprika in the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Add chickpeas, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Mash the avocado with lime juice and cilantro, adding salt and pepper to taste.
  • Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave until pliable.
  • Spread a layer of the avocado mixture on each tortilla, then add spiced chickpeas, lettuce, and tomato.
  • Roll each tortilla tightly and slice in half if desired.

Notes
