For the Marinade

  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

For the Fried Rice

  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil use if needed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup red bell pepper chopped
  • 4 cups cooked rice day-old rice recommended
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons green onions sliced
  • sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add marinated steak and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • In the same skillet, scramble the beaten eggs for about 2 minutes and set aside.
  • If needed, add vegetable oil to the skillet and sauté minced garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
  • Add frozen peas and carrots and chopped red bell pepper, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice, steak, and scrambled eggs to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve hot.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate steak for at least 15 minutes and use day-old rice for texture.
