Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Prepare the Dry Ingredients by whisking together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl until well blended.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients by whisking together milk, egg, oil or melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  • Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients by pouring the wet mixture into the dry and stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the Meat by gently incorporating cooked sausage or bacon into the batter.
  • Preheat the Skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it, then test the heat with a drop of water.
  • Cook the Bites by pouring small amounts of batter onto the skillet and cooking for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form.
