  • Spread a generous layer of the creamy mixture on each slice of whole-grain bread (about 2 minutes).
  • Layer the sliced English cucumbers evenly over the spread on each slice (adds about 2 minutes).
  • Top each cucumber-covered slice with another piece of bread. Press gently to meld the layers (about 1 minute).
  • Cut each sandwich into halves or quarters for serving (about 2 minutes).

Notes

Select English cucumbers for less bitterness and fewer seeds. Experiment with herbs like basil or mint for added flavor. Serve with lemon wedges or a light salad for a refreshing touch.
