Step-by-Step Instructions for Tofu and Mushroom Stir Fry

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add 2 cups of thinly sliced shiitake mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  • Incorporate 1 cup of extra firm tofu and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden-brown.
  • Add 4 sliced baby bok choy, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, and ½ tablespoon of balsamic vinegar. Stir gently for 2-3 minutes.
  • Season with ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Garnish with 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds and serve immediately.
