Step-by-Step Instructions for Ground Turkey Stir Fry

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and sriracha until the brown sugar dissolves completely.
  • Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes. Add ground turkey seasoned with garlic powder. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of cooking oil and heat for 1 minute. Toss in zucchini, carrot, and red pepper, stirring for 3 to 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Return cooked ground turkey to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture and stir to coat evenly. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and add it to the skillet, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot over jasmine rice, garnished with green onion tops and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat gently in a skillet with water or broth.
