Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and egg. Add garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form small meatballs by flattening a portion of the mixture, placing a cube of mozzarella in the center, and sealing it.
  • In an ovenproof skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the onion until translucent. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Sprinkle flour over the onion and garlic mixture and stir for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
  • Gradually add beef broth and Guinness stout, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, then add the meatballs back into the skillet, coating them in gravy.
  • Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until meatballs are cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
