Step-by-Step Instructions for Stuffed Italian Meatloaf

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and spinach if desired. Mix well.
  • On parchment paper or a greased baking sheet, spread the meat mixture into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  • Spread the cheese filling evenly over the meat mixture, leaving an inch around the edges.
  • Roll the meat mixture away from you into a log shape, sealing the edges as you go and placing seam-side down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • In the last 10 minutes, remove the meatloaf and spread marinara sauce over the top.
  • Remove from oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
