For the Marinade

  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon Honey

Shrimp

  • 1 pound Peeled and deveined shrimp

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon each of paprika, salt, and black pepper, plus ½ teaspoon of red pepper flakes if you like a kick, and 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • The mixture should be well-blended and aromatic, creating a vibrant marinade for your Marinated Grilled Shrimp.

Marinate the Shrimp

  • Add 1 pound of peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl, ensuring they are fully coated in the marinade.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the Grill

  • While the shrimp is marinating, preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).
  • Make sure the grill grates are clean and lightly oiled.

Prepare the Skewers

  • Once the shrimp have marinated, thread them onto skewers—about 4-5 per skewer.
  • If using wooden skewers, consider soaking them in water for 30 minutes beforehand.

Grill the Shrimp

  • Place the skewers on the hot grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Watch closely as the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Serve Immediately

  • Once grilled, carefully remove the skewers from the grill and transfer the shrimp to a serving platter.
  • Enjoy your Marinated Grilled Shrimp hot off the grill.

Notes

For best texture, avoid overcooking shrimp to maintain their juiciness. Pair leftovers with fresh salads or pasta for a delicious meal.
