Instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Sticky Buns

  • Begin by warming the milk, sugar, and butter in a saucepan over low heat until melted. Allow to cool slightly, then mix warm water with instant yeast and let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled milk mixture with the yeast mixture, followed by the flour and salt. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour.
  • Prepare your filling by mixing brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Add softened butter to create a paste.
  • Once risen, roll the dough into a rectangle and spread the cinnamon filling evenly. Roll tightly and slice into 12 pieces.
  • In a greased baking dish, combine melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, corn syrup, salt, and water. Arrange pecans at the bottom, then place dough slices cut-side down.
  • Cover with a kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Invert onto a serving platter.

Notes

Ensure proper yeast activation and allow for a double rise for fluffiness. You can assemble and refrigerate the rolls overnight for convenience.
