  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 medium mashed bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon banana extract
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Mash the bananas, then add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well-combined. Gradually add the dry mixture.
  • Pour the batter into a greased and parchment-lined baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix in banana extract.
  • Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Spread cream cheese frosting over the cooled cake and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  • Cut into squares or rectangles and serve immediately or store in the fridge.
