  • In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of whole milk and 1 cup of heavy cream over medium-low heat. Stir gently for about 5 minutes until warm, not boiling.
  • Add 1 cup of chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. Stir constantly for 3-5 minutes until melted, achieving a smooth texture.
  • Taste the mixture and gradually add sugar to your liking, then sprinkle in a pinch of salt. Let simmer for another 2 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with a splash of vanilla extract using an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes until soft peaks form.
  • In a small bowl, combine corn syrup, red food coloring, and chocolate syrup or powdered sugar until thick and drizzling consistency is achieved.
  • Optionally, prepare mugs by dampening rims and dipping them in cocoa powder or red sanding sugar.
