  • Melt 1 cup of butter in the microwave in 30-second intervals and let it cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of sugar, 4 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Gradually add melted butter.
  • Sift together 1 cup of flour, 0.75 cup of cocoa powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt, and then fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan evenly.
  • Beat 8 oz of cream cheese, 0.5 cup of sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth, then spoon dollops onto brownie batter.
  • Combine 12 oz of caramel candies and 0.25 cup of heavy cream in a bowl, microwave until fully melted and smooth.
