  • Add 3 pounds of cubed chuck beef to the pot. Sear for about 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
  • Stir in 3 cups of sliced carrots, 4 cups of diced potatoes, 1 cup of chopped onions, and 2 tablespoons of minced garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in 3 cups of beef broth and 1 bottle of Guinness stout, then stir in Worcestershire sauce, thyme, bay leaves, salt, and black pepper.
