  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

For the Fried Rice

  • 2 whole eggs beaten
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 whole red bell pepper chopped
  • 4 cups cooked rice day-old preferred

For Cooking

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • to taste salt and pepper

For Garnishing

  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
  • to taste sesame seeds optional

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
  • In the same skillet, pour in beaten eggs and cook undisturbed for a minute, then scramble for about 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Add vegetable oil if needed. Sauté minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add frozen peas and carrots and chopped red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Incorporate cooked rice, breaking up any clumps and mixing thoroughly. Stir in steak and scrambled eggs.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Use fresh flank steak and day-old rice for the best flavor and texture. Customize veggies to your preference for added nutrition and color.
