  • Begin by peeling the two medium ripe pears, slicing them in half, and carefully removing the cores.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt until well combined.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together ½ cup of softened unsalted butter and ¾ cup of granulated sugar using an electric mixer for about 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
