Preparation Steps

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it stand for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together gluten free all-purpose flour, xanthan gum, and salt.
  • Pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients along with olive oil. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead gently for about 2–3 minutes.
  • Roll the kneaded dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter and sprinkle with minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and Parmesan.
  • Score the dough into breadsticks without cutting all the way through.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then twist along the scored lines to separate into individual sticks.
