  • Begin by filling a large pot with salted water and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are fork-tender; drain and set aside.
  • In the same pot, fill with water and bring back to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and steam for 3-4 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside with the potatoes.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the cooked potatoes and broccoli to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss together for 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  • Transfer to a serving dish. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

Diced potatoes evenly for uniform cooking; shock broccoli in ice water after steaming; taste and adjust seasonings before serving.
