  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas and Carrots or fresh if available
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste thickens mixture
  • 1 cup Beef Stock or vegetable stock
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place peeled and diced potatoes in a large pot of water and bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium and simmer the potatoes for about 15 minutes until fork-tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and milk, then mash until smooth and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground lamb until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet for about 5 minutes until translucent.
  • Stir the browned lamb back into the skillet, add tomato paste, beef stock, and Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add frozen peas and carrots into the skillet, simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the filling evenly into a baking dish and top generously with the creamy mashed potatoes.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes until the top is golden brown and crisp.
  • Allow the pie to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
