Instructions

  • Begin by washing and hulling 2 cups of ripe strawberries. Place the strawberries in a mixing bowl and use a blender to puree them until smooth. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, blend the ingredients on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Gently fold the strawberry puree into the cream mixture until fully integrated. Then, add in 1 cup of crushed Oreo cookies, stirring with a spatula until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the combined mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, typically around 20-25 minutes.
  • If an ice cream maker isn’t available, pour the mixture into a wide container and place it in the freezer. Stir vigorously every 30 minutes for about 3 hours.
  • Once churned or stirred to smoothness, transfer the ice cream to a sealed container for an additional freeze. Let it sit in the freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.
