  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced

For the Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 15 oz Tomato sauce
  • 14.5 oz Diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper

For the Pasta

  • 8 oz Elbow macaroni

Optional Add-ins

  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Boil the macaroni by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil, add elbow macaroni and cook for 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet or Dutch oven, heat over medium heat, add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until beef is browned and onions are translucent.
  • Stir in minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Gently fold in the cooked macaroni, stir until well coated and simmer for another 3 to 4 minutes.
  • (Optional) Sprinkle in shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and combined.

Notes

Store leftover goulash in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Reheat on the stove over low heat with a splash of water or broth to maintain moisture.
