For the Blondies

  • 1 cup Butter melted
  • 1.5 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

For the Cinnamon Swirl

  • 0.5 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup Butter melted

For the Cream Cheese Icing

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoon Milk to adjust consistency
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of melted butter with 1 ½ cups of brown sugar. Stir in two large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Gently fold in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoon of salt, being careful not to overmix.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together ½ cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, and ¼ cup of melted butter until you achieve a sandy texture.
  • Spread the blondie batter evenly in the prepared baking dish. Drop dollops of the cinnamon mixture on top and swirl gently with a knife.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before preparing the cream cheese icing.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat 4 oz of cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of powdered sugar and 1–2 tablespoons of milk, mixing until creamy.
  • Stir in ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, then drizzle over the cooled blondies and cut into bars.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container. The blondies will stay soft and chewy at room temperature for up to 3 days.
