Main Mixture

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 10.5 oz Creamy mushroom soup
  • 2 cups Cooked rice
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper

Topping

  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup Frozen peas Optional; can be swapped with other veggies.

Preparation Steps

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and brown the ground beef for 7-10 minutes, draining excess fat.
  • Stir in the creamy mushroom soup, cooked rice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly for 3-5 minutes.
  • If using frozen peas, gently fold them into the mixture and warm through for 2 minutes.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish, then pour and spread the beef and rice mixture evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the casserole mixture.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months and thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
